How It Works
01 Learn
Begin with a short introduction to mosaic materials, tools and basic techniques. Finished examples are used to show how different tile arrangements, shapes and patterns can create very different results.
02 Explore
Look at selected artworks and their colour palettes to discover how artists combine colour, contrast and tone. These examples provide inspiration without limiting participants to a particular design.
03 Choose
Browse the available mosaic tiles and explore the colours, shapes and patterns you would like to use. Participants can follow an example, create a geometric pattern or develop an idea of their own.
04 Create
Arrange the mosaic pieces on the base and gradually build your design. No glue is used during this stage, so tiles can be moved, replaced and rearranged as many times as needed until you are happy with the result.
05 Finish
Once the design is complete, Craft Bay staff take over the artwork and complete the technical process, including gluing, grouting, cleaning and polishing. Participants do not handle glue, grout or finishing tools.
06 Collect
Finished artworks are usually ready for collection later the same day or on the following day. The exact collection time may vary depending on the weather and how quickly the grout dries.
